A laptop or notebook, water, snacks, and a camera/tripod or any gear you may have questions about. Most importantly, come with a project idea in mind. Something you can realistically accomplish within a month.
We'll work through a structured outline you can find here.
Nope! If you have it, feel free to bring it, but it's not necessary. You'll get hands-on experience with my cameras.
The following four weeks consist of your own production. I will walk you through scheduling and producing the shoot or project, and advise you every step of the way until you have a finished piece. Classmates are welcome to work together in groups if they'd like.
We plan to launch by July, and will be constantly expanding and evolving the material over time. All workshop participants receive a lifetime subscription and access to the library and all future updates.
Snacks will be available, but lunch is not provided. Parking is available on-site.
Refunds and cancellations are approved on a case-by-case basis. Costs going into the project are dependent on committed attendees, so refund availability may vary. Refunds are accepted until April 5, then subject to availability after.
This is an in-person workshop intensive. Remote applicants will not be considered at this time.
Guest speakers will vary based on availability, but will range from industry professionals to indie filmmakers, actors, distributors, and more.
18 and up. All experience levels welcome.
Yes! The end goal of this workshop is to have a finished project in your hands, with my guidance along the way.
Yes, but it is heavily discouraged. The best approach to learning is hands-on, in the field. You'll get far more out of the experience by following through on a project.
